Pending Poetry is a twice yearly poetry periodical, first number coming early in 2012.

The picture on the cover of Pending Poetry is of Ironbridge, the symbol of the early Industrial Revolution, A bridge ... a bridge by night ... a bridge by night between ... a woman and the wilds ... two separated individuals ... the town and the countryside ... the conscious and that which transcends daytime awareness ...

Though we qre quite willing to publish a wide variety of poems from haikus to short prose poems, we are looking to 'build bridges' and, as the name pending itself suggests, especially bridges from here into the future.

For the present it will not be possible to offer renumeration for poems published in Pending Poetry except for a complementary copy of the magazine.

Another bridge we are definitely seeking to build is between poetry in English and in other languages. A section of Pending Poetry will be Pending Poetry International with poems in two languages (translated into or from English) the original and the translation will be printed together. We hope that this can later evolve into a separate periodical in its own right.

These are our present areas of expertise. We hope though to add other languages in the relatively near future.

Please note: We do not translate poems so enquires should only be made in cases where a poem from a foreign language has already been translated into English or vice versa.
